Send Email Mocharabuiee is a townland on the western edge of Sligo town, anglicsed Maugeraboy should be Magheraboycoms from the gaelic and means "Yellow Plain". Incidentally Spike Milligan also used this townland name in his work.Kilvarnet is another townland in County Sligo, and translates from "Barnet's Church", but Yeats used the names for their rhyming rather than historical context.
